HousyPals is a mobile application for household shopping lists, inventory, meals, recipes, tasks, budgets, bills, and related features. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
By using HousyPals, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
We collect account and profile information (email, display name, photo URL from your sign-in provider, Firebase UID), subscription status via RevenueCat, content you create in the app, optional location/regional data, photos you upload, and technical data such as device type and server logs.
Community price sharing is optional and off by default; contributions use a one-way hashed identifier, not your email or display name.
We use information to provide and improve the app, authenticate you, enforce subscriptions, support household sharing, generate AI-assisted content when you request it, and meet legal obligations.

We retain your information while your account is active. If you delete your account (Settings → Data Management → Delete account), we delete your user record and associated personal data in our database. Firebase account deletion is completed as part of that flow.
Some data may persist for a limited time in backups or logs. Community price records may retain anonymized fields without direct contact information.
You may access and correct profile information in Settings. You may delete your account in Settings → Data Management. You may opt out of community price sharing in Settings and revoke camera or location permissions on your device.
To exercise rights, contact privacy@housypals.com. We may verify your identity before fulfilling requests.
HousyPals is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We use HTTPS and access controls. No method of storage is 100% secure. Data may be processed in countries other than yours, including the United States.
We may update this policy at this URL and change the effective date. Material changes may be communicated in-app where appropriate.
